Mr. C (plaintiff) was traveling southbound on the I-405 freeway in his 2013 Chevy Malibu. As he was coming close to the Sunset Boulevard exit, he was suddenly rear ended by Mr. L (defendant), who was driving a 2002 Nissan Xterra.  The initial impact caused Mr. C’s vehicle to lunge forward and strike a 2012 Ford Explorer from the rear.  At the time of the accident, Mr. Leanos happened to be driving for Casablanca Restaurant at the time of the accident.

Mr. C injured his neck and lower back as a result of the accident.  He was required to have multiple lumbar epidurals and two lumbar spine surgeries.  Mr. C incurred around $472,000 in medical expenses and Mr. Ellis was able to recover $2,450,000 on his behalf.
