Lisa Saperstein has spent more than a decade on the plaintiff’s side of the courtroom, and she has never lost her appetite for the fight. She represents people who have been seriously hurt in motor vehicle, motorcycle, truck, and pedestrian collisions, on dangerous premises, in dog attacks, and through the negligence of the institutions meant to protect them, and she takes on the insurance carriers and corporate defendants who would rather those clients simply went away.
Lisa handles matters from first demand letter through trial and has recovered multiple millions for her clients in all kinds of cases: motor vehicle, pedestrian, motorcycle, trucking, and catastrophic injury cases, premises liability and dangerous condition claims against corporations and public entities, and ride share cases, among them. She is known for her no-nonsense approach to the unglamorous work that decides cases — building the discovery record, preparing the experts, and finding the fact in the deposition transcript that the defense hoped no one would read. That approach has produced results well beyond what the paper on a file would suggest, including a $12.5 million recovery against a major insurance carrier on a 15/30 policy.*
Lisa grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, and came to the law by way of Soka University of America, where she graduated summa cum laude, received the Ikeda Scholarship for embodying the university’s founding values, and became the first woman inducted into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The competitive streak stayed with her. She earned her J.D. in 2012 and has been admitted to practice in California since 2014.
Most of Lisa’s clients meet her during the worst stretch of their lives, and she runs her cases accordingly. She keeps clients informed about their own cases in plain language, returns the call, and does not confuse a quick settlement with a good one. She also serves Spanish-speaking clients.
Outside the office, Lisa is happiest outdoors and with her family.
