Whittier Crash Claims Two Lives

Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer

A recent crash in Whittier led to tragic results when a vehicle collided with parked cars.

The crash occurred at about 3:31am in Whittier, one of the gateway cities in Los Angeles County. Whittier Police Lt. Dominic Iraldo spoke to reporters, detailing the events of the accident.

Lt. Iraldo stated that a black sedan was speeding in the westbound lanes of Beverly Boulevard. The car lost control near the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard, veering to the side and striking a group of vehicles parked on the northbound section of Norwalk.

Two Dead and Two Injured

Sadly, the black sedan was occupied by four people, two men and two women, at the time of the crash, necessitating the Los Angeles County Fire Department to report to the scene and extract them from the crashed car.

Supervising fire dispatcher Melinda Choi told reporters that the LAFD arrived on scene around 3:34 am, about seven minutes after the crash. Unfortunately, one of the victims was pronounced dead by the fire team when they arrived. The team then worked to free the others from the vehicle. Choi reported that one of the victims was taken to a local trauma center at around 3:53am.

County fire officials made an official announcement at 4:21am that two people had died in the crash, one person was injured and receiving treatment, and the fourth person was on route to the hospital in unknown condition.
