Disney recalls Mickey Mouse nightlights for possible fire hazardChildren’s Mickey Mouse nightlights purchased between July and November 2016 maybe be under company recall. The Christmas holiday lights feature Mickey Mouse in Santa attire. There were sold at Disney World, Disneyland, via the Shop Disney Parks mobile app and on the Disney store online July through November.

Approximately 3,000 lights have been recalled after two incidences were reported where the lights leaked into electrical outlets; one blamed for starting an electrical fire. The lights are filled with liquid and glitter which appeared to have been the source of the fire hazard.

The affected lights have a date code on the bottom of the light. The affected product code date code is FAC#019808-16150. The UPC code 400009489637 is on the bottom of the packaging. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising customers to stop using the light and contact the company to receive a full refund.
