36 State Product Recall by Sierra Nevada Brewery

Sierra Nevada brewery recallThe Chico, CA based company issued a voluntary recall after quality control detected bottles with glass flaws.  Sierra Nevada says that a glass chip could break loose and fall into the bottle when opened.   The company has stopped distributing all affected beer and is ensuring that it is being removed from retailer’s shelves.

The affected beer has a packaging date between December 5, 2016 and January 13, 2017 and a brewery code of “M” which indicates Mill River.  The codes are printed on the bottles as well as the outer packaging.  None of the California-produced beer has been affected.  Customers are advised to dispose of the product and contact the company for a full refund.

States included in the recall are Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
