A sports car and a pickup truck collided early on the evening of Friday, May 29, 2020, in La Mirada, resulting in a fiery scene that left two people dead and two people in the hospital.

At around 5:40pm, local police deputies saw the sports car speeding by them right before it crashed into the pickup truck near the intersection of First Avenue and Imperial Highway. Unfortunately, the collision also affected at least two other vehicles. One of the impacted vehicles was a Dodge Challenger that was left burning.

Police worked tirelessly to free survivors from wreck

Video recorded at the scene showed the brave police deputies working to force open the front door of the ruined pickup truck and free the driver.

All of this was reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday. They also said that the surviving victims were in the hospital in unknown conditions. The police did not release the names of the two victims that died or the two that are currently hospitalized.
