The Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica was the host of the LATLC 4th Annual Casino Night and Text Hold ‘em Poker Tournament on May 13, 2017.  Member attorneys, their families and friends gathered to support one of the biggest days on the organization’s calendar every year.  A night to celebrate and party, and most importantly to dig deep and help organizations who continue to work hard to make the Los Angeles area a better place to live.

LATLC, Los Angles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, was founded in 2006 by local personal injury attorneys who practice in the Los Angeles area.  The mission of LATLC was to address the problems plaguing the inner city and sought to help children live in safety, provide educational opportunities and address the homeless issue.   The group, which currently has more than 2,500 supporters, is managed by a board of directors who are committed to serving the needs of the community. Ellis Law’s Andrew Ellis serves as a Diamond Level Honorary Board member.

The group partners with many charitable organizations in the Los Angeles area.  Through these partnerships, LATLC is able to assist children and battered women, the homeless, and those with disabilities. Some partner organizations include Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Inner City Law Center, March of Dimes, Kiwanis Club, Casa of Los Angeles, and Venice Community Housing.

The Ellis Law Firm is proud to support this organization.  Through fundraisers and donations, the LATLC has provided over $750,000 to its 40 partner charities as of 2015.  LATLC was publicly recognized by the California State Assembly in May 2015.
