Ellis Injury Law’s annual office Holiday Party was a little different this year due to the pandemic, but despite the smaller than usual crowd, everyone who attended still had a blast!

Safety was our top priority, so we decided to keep the celebration small, with everyone wearing masks. The guest list this year was limited to only firm employees and founding partner Andy Ellis’ assistants. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, no outside guests were invited. Additionally, because so many of us feel like we are suffering from “Zoom fatigue,” we chose not to include a virtual component. Despite the limitations, the safe, intimate gathering held on December 4, 2020, was full of camaraderie and high spirits!

One of the highlights of the Ellis Injury Law holiday office bash was the gift-exchange (and gift-stealing!) game, White Elephant. The rules of the game are as follows: Everyone brings a wrapped gift and draws a number. Player #1 chooses a gift to unwrap. Player #2 can either steal Player #1’s gift, or unwrap a new gift – and so on until all gifts are unwrapped and distributed. There was a great deal of strategizing and some ruthless tactics at play, but in the end, everyone came away satisfied with their gift!

But the best part of our office shindig? Most would probably agree it was the FOOD. We were fortunate to chow down on delicious fare from Paul Martin’s American Grill – the very restaurant where Andy and Lorena Ellis went on their first date!

Ellis Injury Law wishes all of our clients, friends, and family members the very best during this holiday season – and a Happy New Year!
