Beyond Meat of El Segundo is voluntarily recalling certain bags of Feisty Crumbles from three product lots because they may contain low levels of undeclared peanuts.  The company is known for its plant based products often used by vegetarians as meat substitutes.

The company issued a recall after they received an allergy related complaint from a consumer.  The company states that this was an isolated incident and steps will be taken to ensure that this will not occur in the future.  The recalled products were distributed to several stores and distributors in the area; other products produced by the company are not affected in the recall.  The company will undertake further investigations to determine the source of the peanut contamination.  Consumer can return the product for a full refund.  All recalled products will be removed from warehouses and store shelves and destroyed.

Every year, hundreds of Americans suffer devastating injuries caused by hazardous household items, medications and tainted food products.
