Mr. W and his family were leaving their table at a restaurant and heading for the exit. As Mr. W stepped from the carpet area to the tile floor area, his feet began to slide out from underneath him. Mr. W attempted to catch himself before falling, however, his right leg went backward and his left leg moved forward causing him to land in a split position on the floor. It turned out that the floor was wet and Mr. W, unfortunately, became a victim of a hazardous condition. Mr. W sustained injuries required extensive physical therapy and cervical and lumbar epidural injections. Mr. W incurred around $64,000 in medical expenses and Mr. Ellis was able to recover $250,000 on his behalf.
