Wrongful death lawsuit was filed on behalf of the mother and son of AB, a man who was fatally shot by an LA County sheriff’s department deputy shortly after entering their home.
In addition to the instant suit, criminal charges were filed against the deputy in another case for filing false police reports and planting guns at the scene. Though a different set of facts, the scene at the C’s home bears a strong similarity to the criminal case.
Defendants agreed to the $ 1.25 million settlement with the grieving family as the outstanding criminal case moves forward.
