On April 30, 2017, at approximately 6:00 AM, the Defendant passed/blacked out at the wheel of his 18 wheeler and drove into the apartment building where our 8 clients were sleeping. Injuries ranged from sprains and strains to a mild traumatic brain injury. The family still deals with the psychological trauma of being jolted awake by a truck crashing into their apartment. The parties settled for the policy limits of $1.535 million. The attorneys handling the case were Andrew Ellis and Brandon Corday. The clients are relieved to resolve this matter outside of court and continue their healing process.
