Beverly Hills Personal Injury Attorney

Beverly Hills Personal Injury Lawyer

The Ellis Injury Law Firm is proud to serve residents injured in Beverly Hills who have suffered as a result of another party’s negligence or misconduct. Over the years, Andy Ellis and his aggressive team of experienced legal representatives have raised over $350 million in verdicts and settlements. Whenever necessary, we go to bat for our clients in court – and win! We boast a 99 percent success rate in the cases that we choose to represent, which is how we’re able to work on contingency basis. You don’t pay a single cent upfront for our services. We take our pre-agreed-upon commission out of the final settlement or jury award before swiftly distributing the rest to your account. If you’ve been injured in a car accident, suffered an injury on someone else’s property or been hurt in a slip and fall accident, you have the right to take legal action. A Beverly Hills personal injury lawyer will make sure that you are equipped with a knowledgeable lawyer that will fight for the settlement you deserve.

Over two decades, the talent and expertise of Ellis Law has fueled great success, including the expansion to 20 locations throughout California. We are passionate about representing fellow Californians and making the communities we serve better places to live, where people are held accountable for their actions and given due compensation for needless suffering. Pay No Fee for Your Consultation; You Owe Us Nothing Unless We Win Your Case!

You get top-tier investigative services, dozens of people working on building a strong case on your behalf, access to field experts willing to testify for you, and all your court filing fees paid for you. In the meantime, you pay absolutely NOTHING for your legal services — even if the case takes months or even years to reach resolution. This is our contingency fee promise

Why does Ellis Injury Law Firm operate on a contingency fee basis? Accident victims are assaulted from all angles, with bills for ambulance rides, hospital stays, surgeries, doctor’s visits, therapies, assistive technology, and home modifications. At the same time, the inability to work reduces the household income. In the worst accidents, survivors are left to pick up the pieces and pay for caskets, body preparation or cremation, funerals, burial plots, floral arrangements – while also coping with grief and a decrease in household finances.

In the aftermath of serious injury, your main focus should be physical and emotional healing – not how to gather money together to pay for legal representation. Any lawyer who professes compassion for his or her clients should use the firm’s resources to lend a much-needed helping hand during this time of need.

The best lawyers in Beverly Hills have such a well-rounded understanding of the area of law in which they practice, and are so confident in their skills, that they are able to take on clients who are unable to pay upfront fees.

Upon case resolution, it is customary for lawyers to deduct expenses such as copying fees, court filing costs, postage, deposition taking, trial exhibits, the hiring of investigators or experts, and scheduling special court proceedings. Once these expenses are reimbursed, we deduct a pre-agreed-upon fee for legal services. Everything is clearly spelled out in plain English – not legalese – in your contract, so there are NO SURPRISES. Remember, if your case is in the 1% that do not settle out of court or result in a jury award, you don’t owe us anything.

An accident is a life-changing event, but it doesn’t have to spell the end of happiness. With the right legal team working tirelessly in pursuit of justice, you can have a fresh start with a considerable sum of money in your pocket.

We Have Extensive Personal Injury Lawsuit Experience

At Ellis Injury Law, our attorneys in handle a wide variety of cases, ranging from minor injuries to catastrophic loss.

“Personal injury law” encompasses any incident where one person is injured through the actions of a second party. The second party does not have to be a person. A retailer, manufacturer, hospital, medical practice or corporation can be named in a lawsuit. In the eyes of the law, it does not matter if the second party’s actions were intentional, accidental or negligent. If it can be proved their actions were avoidable, they can be held accountable. Representation by Ellis Law can walk you through the many layers of complex law, and show you how they relate to your claim.

“The lawyer we had first tried to settle our case for $13,000… then Andy Ellis took over and we got $1.25 million for our case,”said past client Robert F. in his five-star review of working with Andy Ellis. It’s the perfect example of the injustices we see happening both in and out of court rooms all across California. Far too often, clients are offered low-ball offers by insurance companies who earn profits by denying claims, or by defendants looking to dodge responsibility for their actions or inactions.

Recklessness and negligence do not fly with our team of seasoned legal professionals. We’re not afraid to prepare a slam-dunk trial presentation, bringing in a train of experts, investigators, documents, and compelling witnesses that sway judge and jury.

We didn’t get a place in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Lawyers of Distinction, Super Lawyers, and the American Board of Trial Advocates by backing off when posed with a challenge. We take opposition head-on. Our opponents know this, which is why the vast majority of cases result in generous settlements well before anticipated trials.

Andy Ellis and His Team of Lawyers Have a 99% Track Record of Success

There is no exaggeration when we say our attorneys have a 99% track record of success and winnings of $350 million and counting. While we cannot guarantee a particular dollar amount for your case, we do have a ballpark idea of what “fair compensation” might look like for you. We are happy to share our expectations with you as the case develops.

Here are just a few examples of  verdicts and settlements we’ve won for our clients:

  • $4.1 Million – Explosion Causes Burns
  • $3 Million – Big Rig Driver Crashes While Asleep
  • $1M – Emergency C-Section Goes Wrong
  • $865,000 – Slips at Movie Popcorn Concession Stand
  • $500,000 – Fatal Gunshot Wound
  • $320,000 – Pedestrian Struck By Bus

Andy Ellis Knows How to Do Battle with the Big Insurance Companies — and WIN!

Insurance companies play a part during most lawsuit proceedings. We have represented many motor vehicle crashes and premises liability cases, where the defendants’ insurers explore every possible angle to deny your claim or reduce the amount of compensation paid out. It’s their “job” to at least try to mitigate expenses, but we never shirk our responsibility to bring in the best medical experts, tap our own network of insurance adjusters, and provide substantial documentation that lends credence to the legal argument we’re pursuing.

How Were You Hurt? Don’t Hesitate to Call Our Firm If You Have Suffered:

  • Head Trauma
  • Rear-End Crash Whiplash
  • Spine Trauma
  • Back Injuries
  • Paraplegic Injury
  • Quadriplegic Injury
  • Amputations
  • Shattered Bones
  • Burns / Lacerations

Beverly Hills Car Accident? Call Our Car Accident Attorneys Now!

Celebrities from Justin Bieber to Larry King have been involved in car accidents. The steep, winding, local roads lead to many different types of motor vehicle collisions. Every year, there are several fatalities.

We pride ourselves on being accessible to all who call in search of answers and legal representation — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No call goes unanswered!

When you work with Andy Ellis and the firm, you not only gain access to our attorneys, but to our vast network of investigators, crash reconstructionists, expert witnesses, medical examiners, claims adjusters, safety inspectors, and more. We leave nothing to “he said/she said.” You can count on us to build a substantial case that leaves no doubt as to who is responsible for your preventable injuries and why.

The motor vehicle accidents we’ve represented run the gamut from:

  • DWIs
  • Intentional recklessness
  • Distracted driving
  • Faulty brakes
  • Failing to obey the rules of the road
  • Dangerous roadways

Our clients have suffered broken bones, damaged internal organs, traumatic brain injuries, quadriplegia, and other serious harm. On numerous occasions, we have represented family interests in fatal car accidents.

A common scenario in car crashes is to pursue multiple responsible parties. There is often more to a case than meets the eye.

Liability in an auto accident may go beyond the driver of a vehicle to find fault with:

  • The company employing the driver
  • Those responsible for vehicle maintenance
  • The vehicle parts manufacturer
  • The local municipality in charge of road safety

Finding the right legal grounds to sue is one of the more important steps to winning in the negotiating room or the court room, and we are no stranger to the complexities of a lawsuit involving multiple defendants.

Damages: How Much Is My Case Worth?

The Ellis Injury Law Firm is well versed in all the in-and-outs of California negligence law, and knows how to get clients maximum compensation for their injuries. Ellis Law is going to look at all the details from every angle, using everything from police and eyewitness reports to forensics experts to fortify your claim, getting you and your loved ones the compensation you deserve, including:

  • Medical treatment and lost wages reimbursement
  • Reimbursement of expenses related to injury or loss of property that occurred as a result of the accident
  • Matters of consortium, such as loss of services to family (income, child care, companionship, lifestyle, etc.)
  • Compensation for emotional distress, pain and suffering
  • Damage to reputation
  • Punitive damages

We aim to prove an indisputable cause-and-effect relationship, the severity and costliness of your injuries, and the true impact the accident had on your enjoyment of life. Some of the most substantial recoveries involve “pain and suffering.” The state of California does not place damage caps on accident claims, except for cases of malpractice.

When the defendant is a hospital or doctor, you may only receive up to $250,000 for non-economic pain and suffering damages. Of course, you will still receive your due for medical costs, therapies, and lost income, which are not subject to the cap.

The only way to navigate the complexities of the law is by working with an experienced firm like Ellis Injury Law. Our record proves we are ready to vigorously go one-on-one with defendants, their lawyers, insurance companies, judges and juries to fight for our clients.

How Long Do I Have to File a Claim in California?

You have up to TWO YEARS from the date of your accident to file your claim for legal compensation, given California’s Statute of Limitations law. Medical malpractice claims allow you up to THREE YEARS from the date of injury OR up to ONE YEAR from the discovery of injury. However, it is always best to speak with a Beverly Hills attorney, as the law does allow for several exemptions.

For instance, the parents may not have sued for damages from a birth injury, but the child may choose to sue when he or she comes of age at 18 (or emancipation.) In other birth injury cases, the full extent of the injuries were not evident until the child reached school-age and underwent testing for cognitive delays. The statute is extended to six years after the date of birth for these lawsuits.

Sometimes people are injured in accidents, but die as a result of those injuries some time later, prompting a wrongful death suit within six months of death, if outside the normal Statute of Limitations.

Mentally incompetent victims may be granted an extended filing deadline.

Meeting with a Lawyer

Our accident attorneys are very personable and friendly. We understand the anxiety and uncertainty you suffer, and hope to put your mind at ease the moment you walk into our office. Arriving prepared will ensure that your first visit is as productive as possible. If you can, please bring with you:

  • A copy of the accident report from the police officer on scene
  • Copies of all medical bills and records pertaining to the accident
  • Photographs of injuries and/or the scene
  • Copies of insurance company correspondence
  • Receipts for anything purchased as a result of the accident
  • Applicable policy information (VA, homeowners/renters, medical)
  • List of eyewitnesses, including names, addresses, and phone numbers
  • Employment status verification to help show lost wages or days missed
  • A timeline of important dates following the accident – doctor’s visits, surgeries, therapy sessions, time off work

It’s natural to wonder: “What happens during a meeting with an attorney at Ellis?” We may:

  • Ask you to sign an authorization form to release your medical records.
  • Ask you questions about your insurance coverage and communications with the adjustors.
  • Recommend that you see a doctor for any lingering physical issues.
  • Have you sign a retainer contract or form of agreement for representation.

If we decide to consider your case further, we will contact you shortly after the meeting to discuss the full range of legal options. We will discuss communication protocol, so you know just how and when we plan to contact you to discuss matters pertaining to your lawsuit. If we decline your case, we will let you know our professional opinion as to where the lawsuit may be lacking, but you are entitled to seek a second opinion from another attorney.

Andy Ellis is Proud To Serve His Beverly Hills Clientele

Every day, someone becomes the victim of an accident. Beverly Hills is no different. Famously known for its zip code (90210), the city is framed by gorgeous estates with infinity pools and iconic Cali palm trees. It’s a vibrant city with first class restaurants, shops and entertainment. It is home to Rodeo Drive, Greystone Mansion, the Walk of Style and the gorgeous Electric Fountain.

Yet, despite the area’s better known luxury, affluence and sophistication, the city is as prone to accidents as anywhere else. From auto accidents and slip-and-falls, dog bites to wrongful death, Ellis Law has seen it happen all over Southern California. A large bank account cannot protect the area’s elite from common mishaps that result from negligence and recklessness.

Motorcyclists are sideswiped by distracted drivers. A faulty appliance leaves someone with horrific burns. An unattended dog mauls a child. A store owner fails to clean up a spill and a patron ends up getting hurt in a fall.

Ellis Law has helped accident victims unable to work for months or years. We fight for maximum compensation to pay for the most catastrophic injuries — amputation, paralysis, broken bones, and head trauma.

At Ellis Injury Law, we deploy top attorneys and a dedicated support staff – under the leadership of Andrew Ellis – to investigate and confirm the facts behind accidents that leave citizens hurt and defenseless. Our goal is to provide peace of mind to the victimized and to hold those responsible for injuries and damage accountable.

Our office is located at 9465 Wilshire Boulevard (Suite 300) in the handsome Wilshire Beverly Center, located in the heart of affluent the city. The surrounding business community includes Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios and high-end dining and retail on Rodeo Drive. We are easily reached via the I-405 or I-10. Stop in to request a consultation any time, day or night. We are here to help!
